FORMER COMMUNISTS THE MAJORITY MAYORS PARIS, Feb. 11. (Received Feb, 12, at 5.5 p.m.) Eight prominent people, mostly mayors of the Seine et Oise Department, and belonging to the former Communist Party. have been arrested and interned. Four others were arrested at Mons. BRITISH LABOUR POTEST LONDON, Feb. 11. The Trades Council passed a resolution protesting against the French Government’s action in imprisoning the Communist secretary of the Paris Trades Council, Henri Renaud. The British Council described it as political persecution.
