RIFLE SHOOTING

KIWI DEFENCE CLUB Last Saturday the members of the Kiwi Defence Rifle Club fired the third and final competition of No. 2 Match, over 500 and 600 yards, seven shots and one sighter at each rrnge. A boisterous wind and occasional rain showers adversely affected some marksmen, and consequently scores suffered. The following were the scores and prize-winners:—

DUNEDIN DEFENCE CLUB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club fired a two-range shoot on Saturday on the Fairview range, The ranges were 500 and 600 yards, marksmen being allowed seven counting shots, with one optional sighter. Conditions were tricky, with a boisterous wind. A. W. Cooper headed the day’s aggregate with the fine score of 63 off the rifle. Scores;—

KAITANGATA CLUB The Kaitangata Defence Rifle Club fired the third stage of the Centrewood Cup competition on Saturday Ten counting shots and one optional sighter were fired at 500 and 600 yards. The following were the scores:—
