The eldest, William John, served in the territorials for five years, and is now in camp at Trentham as a member of the second echelon: the second son, Ronald Frederick. served with the territorials for five years, held the rank of sergeant, and is with the first echelon with the rank of platoon sergeant; Gordon Athol the third boy. is a member of the Air Force at Ohakea; and the youngest, who is under military age. and is a member of the Ist Battalion of the Wellington-West Coast Regiment.. attended a special course at the Officers’ Training School at Trentham recently, and passed the examination for the rank of second-lieutenant. He will be given his warrant of rank ait the annual camp of the regiment at Waioiiru this month.
