FOUR SONS IN FORCES
A splendid record of service is that of the four sons of Mr John Sherlock, Durie Hill, Wanganui. The eldest, William John, served in the territorials for five years, and is now in camp at Trentham as a member of the second echelon: the second son, Ronald Frederick. served with the territorials for five years, held the rank of sergeant, and is with the first echelon with the rank of platoon sergeant; Gordon Athol the third boy. is a member of the Air Force at Ohakea; and the youngest, who is under military age. and is a member of the Ist Battalion of the Wellington-West Coast Regiment.. attended a special course at the Officers’ Training School at Trentham recently, and passed the examination for the rank of second-lieutenant. He will be given his warrant of rank ait the annual camp of the regiment at Waioiiru this month.
