FATAL KNIFE WOUND
NIUE ISLANDER FOUND DEAD A SUSPECT ARRESTED APIA, Oct. 30. (Received Oct. 31, at 10.30 p.m.) Police inquiries into the death of a native of Niue Island have resulted in the arrest of a Samoan named Tuiva, who will be arraigned to-day on a charge of murder. The body of a native named Foupa. aged 55, was found brutally murdered on Saturday, October 21, where he had been working a taro patch on the Siumu road beyond Vailima. When Foupa failed to return home relatives made a search next morning, and the body was found with a deep knife wound almost severing the head from the body.
