ARMY NURSING CORPS
VOLUNTEERS FOR SERVICE MAINTENANCE OF HOSPITAL STAFFS (Ter United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 28. Over 80 per cent, of the sisters at the Auckland Hospital have volunteered to serve in the New Zealand Army Nursing Corps, and the total number in the Dominion probably amounts to many* hundreds. Three Auckland nurses have been at* the Hopuhopu military camp since October 4. . Miss Nutsey, lady superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, said to-day that those accepted would necessarily be between 25 and 40 years of age, and there would be a stringent medical examination. A special committee would decide what /lumber should be accepted, so that there was small possibility of the public hospitals being short-staffed.
