Good Sun Good Sun spoilt a fair chance of winning by hitting the stand hurdle in the Rlmu Hurdles, and carrying his rider round his neck for several yards before getting back to the saddle. Sudan Sudan may have a change of pilots in the Ruahine Handicap, and hence may be seen to better advantage than when running in Jhe Heretaunga Handicap, Rebel Lad Rebel Lad bears a much improved appearance. Last season she won over seven furlongs at Rlccarton and as in the Shorts Handicap won as if i extra ground would not stop her Through Mittle Gay Chou must come into consideration, as he won at Otaki in September with 8.2 over seven furlongs' when Mittle 7.0 was over two lengths away in Imln 28sec. Didham. the rider of Boloyna, was questioned by the stipendiary steward concerning what appeared to be Interference when coming round the top. Boloyna was on the rails with the leaders and dropped back Didham stated that his horse swerved and interfered with Areas. The Wellington Racing Club should seriously consider the advisability of dropping rapes over a mile and a-quarter. In a big field an unlucky draw for position may completely settle any chance of winning. In the Watkins Handicap the placed lot all began near the rails. Rabble, who finished fourth, began from 12, Wagner from 17 and Homily from 13, and these were the only ones from a wide position that got anywhere near the placed lot.
