ARCHERFIELD OLD GIRLS

ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Archerfield Old Girls’ Association was held at Archerfield School on October 9. The president, Miss Margaret Dunlop, welcomed members and spoke briefly on the part the old girls of the school are taking in the activities of the community. In moving the adoption of the annual report, the president congratulated the association on another successful year, and appealed to mem* bers to give the association their active support. Miss Judith Gallaway proposed a vote of thanks to the retiring members of the committee—Misses Margaret Dunlop, Cecile Jones, Jean Smith and Pat Strachan. The meeting was concluded with supper, served by the committee. The following are the office-bearers for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs W. A. Williamson; vice-president, Miss Jean Guthrie; secretary, Miss Judith Gallaway; treasurer, Miss Ellen Halliday; committee. Misses Audrey Adams, Muriel Easton. Joyce Greig, Hilary Kidson, Nance Pratt, Joy Smith and Jenny Wilson; scholarship convener, Miss Joy Smith; representative to the combined Old Girls’ Association. Miss Hilary Kidson. On Sunday there was a large attendance at the old girls' service, held at Archerfield. After the service, which took place in the library, the old girls were the guests of Miss Black (principal) at a buffet tea served in the play-room.
