RUSSIA AND GERMANY
THE TRADE NEGOTIATIONS ATMOSPHERE NOT GOOD NEW YORK, Oct. 14. (Received Oct. 15, at 11.30 p.m.) The Moscow correspondent of The Times, Mr G. E. Gedye, says: “It has been unofficially stated that the atmosphere of the Russian and German trade talks is not good. The Germans are becoming progressively more irritated over Russian reluctance to make concrete proposals, while the Russians are forming a poor opinion of the suitability of Germans to negotiate. There is no likelihood of a trade agreement which will aid Germany much in the prosecution of war.”
