Mr Peter McSkimming was a passenger for Christchurch by the through express yesterday. Mr H. L. Dolamore left for Wellington by the through express yesterday. Mr Thomas Lock, president of the Wellington Bowling Centre and of the Khandallah Bowling Club, is at present on a visit to Dunedin. Dr R. A. Millikan, of Pasadena. California, the noted scientist who is under engagement to the National Broadcasting Service, arrived in Dunedin by yesterday afternoon’s express. Dr Millikan, who is accompanied by his wife, is a guest at Wain’s Hotel. Mr Eric Campbell, who left Invercargill about a year ago for England, has passed an examination for the diploma in public parks administration. and is entitled to the letters F.I.P.A. (Fellow of Institute of Parks Administration). Mr Campbell, who served his apprenticeship with the Invercargill Reserves Department, is stated to be the first New Zealander to pass the examination.
