TOURNAMENT AT ROXBURGH FIRST DAY'S PLAY (Special to Daily Times) ROXBURGH, Aug. 22. Weather conditions were excellent to-day for the first day's play in the women's annual golf tournament. Although the entries were not up to the numerical strength of last year, the standard of competition was high. The results of the opening day's play were as follows: — Ladies' Bogey Match Silver Division.—Mrs W. K. George (Clyde) 6 down. Miss A. Monk (Otago) 7 down, Miss Shand (Otago) 7 down, Miss E. More (Riverton) 7 down. Bronze Division.—Miss Brotherstone (Port Chalmers) 7 down, Mrs J. George (Roxburgh) 7 down, Mrs Breeze (Otago) 7 down, Mrs W. P. Grant 9 down. Mrs W. R. Cockburn 9 down.
