"DUD" SHELL EXPLODES
TRAGEDY AT FORT KNOX YOUNG MILITIAMEN KILLED FORT KNOX, Aug. 14. (Received Aug. 15, at 1.30 p.m.) When a group of young militiamen found an unexploded shell and took possession of it as a curio it exploded, killing six and wounding two. The victims were literally blown to bits. The commander said that the youngsters had repeatedly been warned against the danger of picking up " duds."
