BIZARRE PARTY
DOOMED MAN THE GUEST NEW YORK, Aug. * A cancer patient, who had been given a month at most to live, was the guest of honour at one of the most bizarre parties ever held in New York. It was given by 200 business and personal friends of Claude Bradley, aged 53, wealthy cement executive. . Bradley was the life of the party. He played the piano and cracked jokes all night. As clocks sounded midnight his friends drank a farewell toast. Grinning broadly, Bradley replied:—" The doctors give me. maybe, a month. Then off I go to Flatbush cemetery. Well, thousands die every minute. When you've got to go, you've got to. No use crying about it." ,
