FORESTERS
The last meeting of Court Saint Andrews was presided over by C.R. Sis. M. Coomer and was attended by a good attendance of officers and members. Sickness continues to be heavy, and the Woodwards reported on their visits. Several invitations were received and accepted from sister courts. One brother was transferred into the court and two propositions for membership were accepted. At the last meeting the auditors gave their halfyearly report and congratulated the court on the financial state of the various funds at the present time, also the membership which showed 12 new members during the six months. The first round of our 500 tournament was clayed, and the following were the results: —Court Little John defeated Excelsior. King Edward’s Pride defeated Enterprise. Saint Andrews B defeated Pride of Green Island Court Saint Anarews A defeated Pride >of Dunedin and Pride of Leith defeated Marion. The second round will be played on August 21 Last Monday the annual badminton tournament was held, when five courts attended, the following being the results:—First round:' Saint Andrews C 30. Queen of Green Island 17, Pride of Green Island 30 Enterprise 6. Saint Andrews A 30 Excelsior 1. Saint Andrews B 26 Pride of Leith 33. Second round: Saint Andrews C 25 Pride of the Leith 22, Saint Andrews A 30 Pride of Green Island 6 Final: Saint Andrews A 30 Saint Andrews C 10. Saint Andrews A team being Bros. H. Johnson, H Baines. J. Holland and C. H McKeich.
