MANUFACTURE FOR SALE OF SOAP AND SOAP-POWDER. 1 hereby give notice that pursuant to the provisions of the Industry Lncensing (Soap Manufacturer Notice 1939 Amendment No. 1, all persons who are engaged ns principals in the above industry arc required to obtain licences from the Bureau of Industry to continue carrying on the industry on and after August 18, 1939. Applications for licences in writing, on forms which may be obtained from the offices of the Department of Industries and Commerce in Auckland. In the above notice “soap” is defined as “the compound in solid, paste, or liquid form resulting from the combination or saponification of any oil, fat. or resin with either sodium or potassium hydroxides, with or without other ingredients, and intended for use as a detergent, but excluding dentrifices, shampoos, shaving soap in powder form, and shaving soap in paste form; including however shaving soap in cake form”: and “soap-powder” is defined as “any powdered product containing a mixture of soap with an alkaline salt.” G.
