CHILD KILLED IN CAR CRASH MOTHER SUFFERS INJURIES (Per United Press Association! WANGANUI. Aug. 11. When a car left the main road near the Waverley racecourse to-night and capsized down a 10-foot bank. Noelinc Grace Hoskins, aged 3J years, the only child of Mr and Mrs F. C. Hoskins, of Aramoho, was killed instantly and her mother badly cut about the face by flying glass. Mrs Hoskins was admitted to the Wanganui Hospital. The husband, who was driving, escaped injury.
COLLAPSE UNDER AN/ESTHETIC DEATH OF YOUNG WOMAN While undergoing an operation at the Public Hospital on Thursday night a young woman named Margaret Callaghan, who resided at Burnside, collapsed while under the anaesthic and died. An inquest was opened at the Hospital yesterday afternoon, Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., sitting as coroner. After evidence of identification had been taken, the inquiry was adjourned sine die.
