FORECAST FOR OTAGO CONTINUANCE OF DRIZZLE PREDICTED The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellingon:— Light to moderate and freshening winds between east and south. Weather dull and in places misty, with drizzling rain, especially along the coast. Temperatures cooler. Sea slight to moderate. DOMINION FORECAST FALL IN TEMPERATURES PROBABLE The following is the official weather forecast for the Dominion: — An extensive and complex depression covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, but pressure is commencing to rise over south-eastern Australia, Indications are for:— Winds.—Moderate to strong northwesterlies to westerlies north of Nelson and Marlborough, variable thence southwards, but with moderate easterlies to southerlies predominating. Seas.—New Zealand waters: Rather rough to rough north of Westport and about Cook Strait, slight to moderate elsewhere. Eastern Tasman Sea; Fresh westerly winds in the central and northern portions, moderate southeasterlies in the southern portion, and southerlies later becoming more general; seas moderate to rather rough. AUCKLAND. Aug. 10. Fine conditions in the morning were followed by showers in the afternoon, the wind being moderate from the north-west. The maximum temperature was 61 degrees. The barometric pressure fell during the afternoon, and the reading at 5 p.m. was 29.56 inches, or 1001 millibars. WELLINGTON, Aug. 10.
