FODDER FAMINE LIKELY
AREAS IN WESTERN INDIA HEAVY LOSSES OF CATTLE LONDON, Aug. 9. The Bombay correspondent of The Times says: Water scarcity, failure of the crops, and a fodder famine face large tracts of Western India unless rain falls within a v/eek. Heavy mortality of cattle is reported from Kathiwar and other districts. The populations are leaving some districts for the towns owing to the food shortage.
