ASSISTANCE FOR POLAND ARMAMENTS FROM RUSSIA WAR INDUSTRY SUPPLIES lENSATIONAL DECLARATION (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 9. (Received Aug. 10, at 0.15 a.m.) The Warsaw correspondent of the Daily Express says a sensation was caused when the Politika Gospodarcza, the official organ of the Polish heavy industry, revealed that " in the event of war with Germany Poland will receive massive deliveries of arms from Russia. It added that on the declaration of war Russia will send all the necessary steel supplies for Polish war industries, bombing and fighting planes, tanks, armoured cars, and heavy and light artillery. POSITION IN DANZIG EASING OF TENSION (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Aug. 8. The newspapers detect a slight easing, of the tension over Danzig. Informed quarters in London con- ■ sider~that the prospects of an improvement in the situation are based on continuance of the discussions between Warsaw and Danzig in regard to matters which occurred in" the last few days. The hope is still entertained that these matters - will be discussed over the' table in the near future between Polish and Danzig Senate representatives. MUTUAL PRESS ATTACK BERLIN, Aug. 8.
