CAT'S LONG LIFE
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS ON FARM
Granny, a black cat belonging xo Mr W Bates, of Charing. Ashforn, Kent, and believed to be the oldest cat in England, has died, one week after celebrating her twenty-fifth birthday, states the Sunday Chronicle. London. Granny was born on Tile Lodge Farm. Charing, in May. 1914. When Mr W. Bates retired and let the farm eight years ago, Granny refused to leave the farm. She died there.
