The fifth co-starring appearance of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy is in “ Sweethearts,” the noted Victor Herbert operetta. It is also the first appearance of the popular singing team in a technicolour production. Victor Herbert’s lovely music abounds in the picture, with Miss MacDonald and Eddy heard in eight musical numbers, including “Mademoiselle,” “On Parade.” “Wooden Shoes.” “Every Lover
Must Meet His Fate," “ Summer Serenade.” “ Pretty as a Picture,” “Sweethearts,” and "Little Gray Home in the West.” Miss MacDonald dances with Ray Bolger, and there are original ballets and striking chorus ensembles. The cast includes such distinguished stage and screen headliners as Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger. Florence Rice, Mischa Auer. Herman Bing. Reginald Gardiner, Fay Holden, Allyn Joslyn, Olin Howland, Lucile Watson, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart. Berton Churchill, and little Terry Kilburn. boy star of “Lord Jeff„” The picture will open to-day at the Regent Theatre.
