A POST IN AFRICA
SIR EDWARD HARDING NEW HIGH COMMISSIONER (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, July 19. The King has approved the appointment of Str Edward Harding, Permanent Under-secretary for. Dominion Affairs, as his Majesty’s’ High Commissioner for Basutoland and Bechuanaland protectorates and Swaziland, in succession to Sir William Clark. This post will, as at present, be held in conjunction with that of High Commissioner for the Union of South Africa. Sir Cosmo Parkinson, Permanent Under-secre-tary for Colonies, succeeds Sir Edward Harding, and Sir George Gater, clerk to the London County Council, succeeds Sir Cosmo Parkinson.
