VALUE OF CO-EDUCATION
Bedalcs is a co-educational school, and Lord Border. the King’s physician, referring,to the value of this type of education in a speech to parents at the school, said: “I see in my consulting room the effects of co-education as well as the effects of the lack of it. I think co-education is the natural thing, just as I think that separate education of sexes is the artificial thing. There must be. at least for the only child, great advantages in coeducation. For the children of those families where the sex is the same, the advantage of co-education is also obvious. I have met in after-life those who have received the benefits of coeducation. I do not find that the boys are effeminate, or that the girls are unfeminine. Nor do I find that both boys and girls have become unsexed.”
