TRAINING COLLEGES’ BALL

WINDING-UP TO TOURNAMENT

Following the two days’ tournament between the Christchurch and Dunedin Training Colleges, a dance was held on Wednesday evening in the Pioneer Hall, when the shield was presented to the home team. Sketches of personalities in college athletic circles adorned the walls, and supper was served at the far end of the hall, at tables decorated with Iceland poppies. The guests were received by the president of the Training College (Mr F, C. Smith) and the lady vice-presi-dent, Miss L. W. Scott. The guests included the principal of the college (Mr J. A.
