CONCERT AT RAVENSBOURNE

Presided over by the Mayor of West Harbour (Mr A, Smith), a successful concert was held last week in the Coronation Hall, Ravensbourne. Conducted under the auspices of the Ravensbourne Basketball Club and organised by Mrs R. R. Condon, it was well received by the large audience, which almost filled the hall. A varied programme was presented by the concert party, the personnel of which included: Misses W. and D. Facer, A. Trainor. E.. D.. and I. Connor, R. Montgomery, and M. Rodgers, Messrs H Facer, C. Edwards. H. Smith, L. Davidson, C. Cooper, and R. French. Special thanks were due to the stage managers, Messrs J. and W. Chalmers, and S. Dee, for the manner in which they carried out their numerous duties: Miss Heather Westwood was accompanist. The following was. the programme:— “ Merrily We Roll Along,” concert party; recitation. Miss E. O'Brien: song. Mr H, Facer: pipe selection. Piper Christiansen: sailor item, juniors; “ Leader of the Band.” concert party: sword dance, group of juniors; song, Miss R. Montgomery: recitation. Miss A. Skinner; “ Round the Cabin Door.” concert party; playette, “The Unexpected Entertainment.” concert party; Highland fling, juniors: recitation. Mr L. Davidson; Irish jig. Miss E. Connor; song, Miss P. Davidson; whistling song, concert party; “Sing As We Go,” concert party.
