ST. CLAIR WOMEN’S CLUB

The fortnightly meeting of the St, Clair Women’s Club was held on Monday last, when Mrs E. H, Ombler presided over a large attendance of members. The programme of Scottish items arranged bv Mrs D. A. Young was received with hearty applause. The programme was as follows: —A pianoforte medley of Scottish airs arranged and played’ by Mrs L. de F. Ensor; two recitations by Mrs L. Withers—•“ Bairnies Cuddle Doon ” and " Lochinvar two songs by Mrs J. Eustace — “ Cornin’ Through the Rye ” and “ Robin Adair": two amusing recitations by Mrs W. Turnbull —“The Opening Speech ’’ and “A Kind Word ”; two songs by Mrs M. Robson —“ Hail Caledonia ” and “ The Auld Hoose two Scottish dances by Mrs Nelson —sean triubhais and a Highland fling; and a short sketch by Mesdames D. A. Young. J. M. McLachlan and W. Prince.
