WOMEN’S HOCKEY

EXECUTIVE MEETING A meeting of the Executive of the Otago Women’s Hockey Association was heldion', Tuesday evening. Mrs Sonntag occupied the chair, and there were ; also present—Mi’s Borthwick, Misses Warburton, Fairburn. Morton, and Messrs Wallace and Mulholland, The matter of primary schools was gone into, and Mrs Sonntag and Mrs Borthwick were appointed to interview teachers at the Oval and find out the position in regard to sticks and balls. The competition was arranged to start to-morrow, when four teams will compete on the Oval. A report on the seven-aside tournament was received, and it was stated that this was a great success. It was decided that a letter of thanks should be sent to the Umpires’ Association for their assistance, and also to the explayers who helped with the organsation of the fixture. Draw for Saturday ,
