As a result of the activities of a constable stationed specially in the town, Frank Kelly, a waterside worker, and Cyril Place, a drover, were charged in the Police Court to-day ing on the business of a bookmaker. Each was fined £25 by the magistrate, Mr W.-H. Woodward.
