RETURNED SOLDIERS' CHOIR

On Monday next, in the Concert Chamber the Dunedin Returned Soldiers' Choir under the conductorship of Mr L B Borrow, will present its first concert of the 1939 season Major works included in this programme will be the descriptive choruses for male voices:—"The Reveille" (Elgar) and " Crossing the Plain," .. by Maldwyn Price "The Builder' (Cadman) is a new work of majestic charaetei rich in harmony and in its first performance should make an instant appeal "Awake. "All in an April Evening and a choir quartet in " O Peaceful Night provide contrast in a well-balanced orogramme. Miss Dora Drake will ba heard in Verdi's "Caro Nome," from ' Rigoletto " and Sullivan's " The Hours Creep on Apace."
