SPANISH CABINET
INFLUENCE OF FASCISM RESHUFFLE EXPECTED LEADER'S DIFFICULTIES (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, May 30. Changes in the personnel of General Franco's Government, which will be announced soon, indicate the increasing influence of the Falangists (Spanish Fascist) at the expense of the Monarchists. Genera] Franco will remain in suprem.- authority, but his wife's sister's husband, Senor Serrano Suner, who is now Ministei of the Interior, will be Premier. Senor Suner is a warm admirer of Nazism. The Foreign Minister, General Count Jordana, who is. a Monarchist, will retire from the Cabinet, in which there will be five generals, including General Davila, Minister of Defence, and General Aranda. General Franco is evidently having difficulty in forming a Cabinet which will' command the support of a majority, for the rqturn of 'peace has reawakened dormant rivalries among General Franco's wartime followers. COMPLAINT AGAINST POWERS BRITAIN AND FRANCE : LONDON, June 6. (Received June 7, at 1 a.m.) The Burgos correspondent of the British United Press says:— "Addressing the Falange or Fascist Party, General Franco complained that France was fulfilling the Jordana-Berad agreement with reluctant slowness, damaging Spain's economic interests. A great part of the securities belongine to Spanish, banks remained in Britain in sequestration, or was subject to litigation owing to the monstrous survival of the fictitious beneficiary the Reds created in the last days of their, flight.
" General Franco added that there was a secret offensive against Spain, fostered by those who foisted the horrible crime of Marxism on Spain. They must resist this encirclement " The speech is believed to be a prelude to the adoption of the law of syndicates and a self-sufficiency programme in consonance with the Axis Powers."
