“GO SLOW ” TACTICS
GERMAN MINE WORKERS LONGER HOURS RESENTED (Independent Cable Service) • LONDON, May 17. (Received May 17, at 10 p.m.) The Mine Workers’ Federation of Britain received a report that German miners in the Ruhr, the Saar and Upper Silesia have adopted “ go slow ” tactics against the recent increase in hours by 45 minutes per shift to 53 hours a week. Posters bearing Field-Marshal Goering’s decree ordering increased hours have repeatedly been torn down. Miners are prolonging their meal times and arriving late for work.
