CONTESTS AT AUCKLAND (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Apl. 30. Two professional matches formed the feature of the Auckland Boxing Association’s second carnival of the season at the Town Hall on Saturday night Both were of 10 threeminute rounds. In the light-weight contest, Fred Taylor, of Australia (9.0), met Brian McKay, of Auckland (9.4), and suffered defeat on points, McKay was the aggressor throughout, and won every round The second bout was a middleweight one, the contestants being Tui Mclvor, of Wellington (list 61b), and George Allen, of Auckland (list 41b). The result was a victory on points for Allen, who proved himself a superior boxer against a rugged fighter. The margin in favour of the Aucklander was a comfortable one.
