HOUSE RANSACKED
THIEVES’ BIG HAUL CASH AND JEWELLERY STOLEN (Per United Press Association) V AUCKLAND| Feb. 9. Cash and jewellery valued at about £4OO were stolen from the home of Mr P'. McGirr, in King Edward street, near the Dominion Road Post Office, during the brief absence of the owner last night. The intruders entered the house through a back window, opened a safe, and departed with the contents. A ladder was used to reach the window.
