GERMAN PRESS DELEGATES BOYCOTT MR CHAMBERLAIN’S SPEECH Mr Neville Chamberlain making his speech at the jubilee banquet of the Foreign Press Association in London last month. Shortly before he was due to speak it was announced that the German party, headed by the Ambassador (Dr von Dirksen) and the special envoy (Herr von Aschmann) would not attend. It is understood that this action was ordered by Herr Hitler, who had received an advance copy of the speech.
