FAMILY SEES FATHER
TWELVE THOUSAND MILES AWAY REUNITED IN A KINEMA (From Oub Own Correspondent) (By Air Mail) LONDON, Dec. 15. The story comes from Sale, Cheshire, of how five relatives of a man in New Zealand became “ reunited ” by means of a kinema screen. A special showing, it is related, was given of a news feature film in which Mr Albert Wood, of Auckland, was seen pursuing his hobby of fashioning model ships in glass. In the” audience was his wife, Mrs Annie Wood who had not seen him for 16 years. The film was run twice for her benefit Three other members of the fcmilv were her son, Albert, of Claremont red. Moss Side. Manchester, Mr Joseph Wood another son, Mrs Lena Dyson, s daughter, and her busbar 6 and son, of Sale. ‘‘lt was very wonderful, but I wish I could have seen him actually here,” said Mrs Wood afterwards. “He left Manchester 25 years ago for Australia, end I followed him the next year. I stayed there eight years, then came back. He was to follow me 12 months afterwards, but I little thought it would be all these years before I saw him again. “He had bad luck and could not come, but used to write to me. “My son, Sidney, who is 17, could not come to-day. He would have liked to see his father.”
Another account says that Mr Wood lives in Brisbane.
