KIWI DEFENCE CLUB

The Kiwi Defence Rifle Club fired the first stage of No. 3 match on the Pelichet Bay range on Saturday afternoon The shoot consisted of seven ™ tS cnn W^h . °P tlo P a l slghters at 300. 500, and 600 yards. The weather was showery and interfered with elevation to spoil some promising aggregates.

The best shoot ot the day was 100 put on by H. Butel (B Grade), who counted out P. Ponnessy (A Grade), who also notched 100. on the count back The bad conditions at 600 yards caused severe! men to retire Next Saturday will be devoted to a triangular match between Oamaru. Dunedin and Kiwi Defence Rifle Clubs, and In conjunction with this match and Kiwi will fire for the GK Challenge Shield, The Oamaru Club is the present holder.
