IMPROVEMENTS ON THE MAIN SOUTH ROAD A section of the Main South road between Clinton and Balclutha, where extensive improvements are being carried out. The present road, (on the left) is low-lying and is completely submerged in times of heavy floods. The new road eliminates the wide sweep taken by the present road, and as well as being raised, has an extra bridge.
