SYDNEY LABOUR STATION UNTRUE STATEMENTS MINISTER'S TERMS AGREED TO SYDNEY, Dec. 23. The directors of 2KY, at a special meeting, agreed to the Postmastergeneral's terms, which involve an apology bv them for statements; which they acknowledge to be untrue, concerning the Government's actions in the pig iron dispute at Port Kembla and the clash between Mr Thorby and Mr Curtin. This apology will be published in the Labour official organ, the Daily News. • ■ s 2KYexpects to resume to-morrow. THE DISPUTE SETTLED ADMISSION IN PAPER SYDNEY, Dec. 24. The 2KY dispute has been settled, and the station will be on the air to-day. The board of management of the station endorsed the terms of the agreement reached when Mr King interviewed Mr Cameron. An apology was published this morning in the Daily News, in which an admission was made that the statements which had been broadcast from 2KY were untrue, and that the person making them should have known they were untrue. STATION OPERATING AGAIN THE APOLOGY READ OUT SYDNEY, Dec. 25. (Received Dec. 26, at 6.30 p.m.) The Trades and Labour Council's broadcasting station 2KY reappeared on the air at 7 p.m. on Saturday with official sanction. The occasion was marked by a brief speech by the secretary. Mr King, who made a dramatic flight from Adelaide, where he concluded peace with the Postmaster-general, Mr Cameron, on Friday. He read the station's apology and thanked the public and the daily press for aiding them in the hour of trial and difficulty. He assured the authorities of the Labour Council's desire to broadcast the truth and avoid giving offence, but insisted that there must be freedom of' speech on the air as well as in; the press. He added facetiously: "We were the first commercial station on the air and, strangely, the first off it."
