AMATEUR ATHLETICS

ROXBURGH CLUB'S MEETING AUSTRALIANS IN FORM The visiting Australian athletes, E. W. Best and G. Backhouse, were in good form at the Roxburgh Amateur Athletic Club's annual sports meeting yesterday. After recent stormy weather, < the' day broke brilliantly fine, and the meeting was held in pleasant conditions. The presence of the Australian runners, who were weicomed to Roxburgh by the Mayor (Mr F. A. Laloli), attracted a large attendance to the meeting.
