CREDITS FOR CHINA
BRITAIN AND AMERICA JAPAN MAY RETALIATE DENUNCIATION BY PRESS (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) TOKIO, Dec. 22. It is understood that Japan is planning to retaliate against the Anglo-American credits extended to China. The newspaper, Kokumin Shimbun, denounces the credits, and says that, as a result, the Japanese policy must be vigorously directed towards olliterating all symbols of British Imperialism in the Far East and Asia. It adds that Britain should return Hongkong to China, and refers to the possibility of Britain being forced to withdraw from Singapore and grant independence to India as a means of promoting peace.
