WORKING MODEL OF STEAMER Boys interested in models will have the opportunity of seeing this one in action in the Woodhaugh gardens during the Christmas holidays. It is a model of a steamer 26in long, 4½in wide and 4in deep. It is painted in the Union Steam Ship Company's colours and is fitted with electric light and a tiny radio capable of receiving the local stations. A gramophone motor drives a four-bladed propeller which will send the model about 120 yards at approximately six knots at each winding. Smoke can be made to emit from the after funnel. It was made by Mr D. L. Ritchie, Orbell street, Dalmore, for his son.
