CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND
WORKERS RAISE FUNDS TEXTILE EMPLOYEES CONGRATULATED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 21. Speaking at a social function of the New Zealand Wooolpack and Textiles Company, Ltd., to-day, Mr F. W. Vickerman, managing director, conveyed to the employees the congratulations of the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr D. G. Sullivan) on their fine effort in raising funds for the provision of a playground for the children of Foxton. Mr Vickerman also announced that the directors had every confidence m the expansion of the works during the coming year. Visitors present included Mr J. 1 Gailey, of Belfast, and Mr Melville Wright, High Commissioner's office, London. Mr Wright congratulated the employees on the very fine product now being turned out and on the progress maintained. He expressed the opinion that the success of the enterprise was assured.
