BRITAIN'S CAUSE

ATTITUDE OF DOMINIONS LOYALTY UNDOUBTED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Dec. 20. Sir Maurice Hankey, broadcasting, referred to the loyal sentiments entertained in the dominions towards Britain. "If I were chief of the general staff of a country likely to become involved in war with the United Kingdom," he said, " I would warn my Government —beware of under-rating the dominions. I visited all four overseas dominions and know something of their problems and difficulties, and as the result of all this I find it difficult to conceive circumstances in which this country is likely to become involved in a maior war on an issue in which popular sentiment in the dominions is not overwhelmingly sympathetic to our cause."
