GERMAN STATESMAN PLANS FOR DR SCHACHT LONDON, Dec. 19. The Daily Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent says Herr Hitler and Field-marshal Goering will, on December 20, receive Dr Schacht, who will probably go to London in February after the conclusion of the negotiations between the Evian Committee and Germany, which is expected in January. A message from Berlin states that it has been officially announced that Dr Schacht discussed migration in London. No definite agreement was reached, but the way was paved for the Evian Committee to come in contact with the German authorities. It is denied that credits were discussed. INDUSTRIAL AGREEMENTS SHARING OF MARKETS (British Official, Wireless) RUGBY, Dec. 19. (Received Dec. 20, at 6.30 p.m.) The opportunity of Dr Schacht’s visit to London was taken to tell him for the information of competent authorities in Berlin that Britain favoured amicable agreements between industries in the two countries on the sharing of markets, which would enable them both to carry on a fair trade at fair prices. Announcing this in the House of Commons, Mr Stanley emphasised that Dr Schacht was not in London as a representative of the German Government. Mr R. A. Butler, in reply to a question, said: “ The general question of emigration from Germany was discussed unofficially wUh Dr Schacht, but it was not intended or expected that any decisions should be reached during the visit. The external debt of Germany was not mentioned."
