WAIKATO HOSPITAL
NEW BLOCK OPENED BUILDING COSTS £29,600 (Per United Press Association) HAMILTON, Dec. 20. The new central block at the Waikato Hospital was officially opened to-day by the Minister of Health (Mr P. Fraser). The building, which cost £29,600, is a twostorey structure with a large subway under the full length of the ground floor. The entire building is constructed in reinforced concrete and embodies the latest earthquake and fire resisting principals. Adequate accommodation is provided for all departments requiring an administration centre, many of which were formerly in very cramped and inadequate quarters.
