RIFLE SHOOTING
KAITANGATA DEFENCE CLUB The Kaitangata Defence Rifle Club fired the final stage of the Lee Cup (third competition) on Saturday, the conditions being seven counting shots and two optional sighters each at 300 and 500 yards. At 300 yards A Hayward and R Arbuthnott scored a possible each followed by C. Falconer with 34. and at 500 yards T. Cairns (33), C. Falconer (32), and J. Dick (32) were the highest scorers. With six Lee Coup shoots fired, the leading scores are:—A. Hayward 395. R. Arbuthnott 392. R. G. Anderson 392, R. Kitto 389 T Cairns 389. and J Dick 385.
