Mrs Norman Speight and family left on Saturday to spend Christmas at "The Rocks," Riverton.

Miss V. Barclay, Rangiora, is spending the vacation with her parents in Dunedin.

Miss Anne Pithie is visiting Southland, where she is the guest of her sister, Mrs Harold Bridgewater, of Invercargill.

Miss Joy Reid, of Dannevirke, is spending the vacation with her parents, Mr and Mrs G. W. Reid, Highgate

Miss Lily Stevens, Dunedin, is at present the guest of Mr and Mrs Mansford, Ngapara. She will return home to-morrow to prepare for another trip to Sydney, and will depart from Dunedin on Boxing Day.

Mrs Marshall Macdonald, of Wellington, is visiting Dunedin to make arrangements for the Children's Health Camp, which will be opened at Waikouaiti shortly. Miss M. Paterson, of Waihi, is the guest of her brother, Mr J. M. Paterson, Tennyson street.

Miss Florence Couston, who will leave to-day on a visit to the North Island, was a hostess at the Otago Women's Club yesterday afternoon in honour of Mrs J. C. Easton, who will leave early in the New Year on a visit to the East and England. Mrs Easton was presented with a posy of carnations.

The Dunedin Radiant Health Club held its ninth annual meeting in the rooms, King street, on December 13. Mrs G. Brooks presided over a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The club has come to the end of another active and helpful year, and there has been a very gratifying increase in the membership. The club gratefully acknowledged its indebtedness to the president (Mrs Brooks), who has added another year of energetic work; also to all those who have given willing service for the advancemeni of the club. The following officebearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs G. Brooks; National Council representative, Mrs G. Brooks; secretary, Miss Johnson; committee—Misses Braid, Parker, Mesdames Smith, Kenna, and Bradley. During the serving of afternoon tea the president and secretary were each presented with gifts.

In honour of Miss Ethyl Taylor, whose marriage will take place this week, various hostesses have entertained during the past month, among them Mrs W. B. Lambert, who was hostess at a dinner party at her residence in Caversham. and Miss Betty Johnstone, who entertained a number of guests at a "bathroom" evening, when those present included Mesdames Ralph Paterson, Neil Fisse, W. P. Wellington and Misses Nance Taylor. Enid Paterson, Ainslie McLeod, Jean Lennox, M. Cameron, Ngaire Walls, Wyn Paterson, Flo Lennox. Olive Wright, J. Blakeley and Margaret Clemens. Mrs Neil Fisse and Mrs W. P. Wellington were hostesses at a " kitchen " evening at the latter's home in Maori Hill, and Mrs G. F. McKellar and Mr D. McKellar entertained at a "trump whist" evening at their home in St. Clair. Miss Ainslie McLeod was hostess at a "gift" afternoon at the Savoy, when those present were Mesdames Ralph Paterson, W. Wellington and Misses Nance Taylor, I. Birley, Mabel Cameron, G. Clarke and E. McMullan. Last evening Miss Norma Spedding entertained at her home in Cargill street. Mosgiel.
