SHEFFIELD SHIELD MATCHES SOUTH AUSTRALIA'S BIG SCORE MELBOURNE, Dec. 18. (Received Dec. 18, at 9 p.m.) In the Sheffield Shield cricket competition, Victoria, in the first innings, made 376 (Rigg 36, Gregory 53, Hassett 104, Sides 42, Sievers not out 67). Bowling, Ellis took 5 for 104, and Cook 3 for 67. Queensland, in the second innings, have no wickets down for 35. . In the match at Adelaide against New South Wales, South Australia in 'the first innings, made 600 for eight wickets declared (Badcock not out 271, Bradman 143, Hamence 90, Grimmett 35). Bowling, Murphy took 2 for 126, and O'Reilly 2 for 99. New South Wales, in the first innings, has no wickets down for 40. M.C.C. v. TRANSVAAL HOME TEAM'S GOOD SCORE - JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 17.
