MOSGIEL CATHOLIC CHURCH
CONFIRMATION CEREMONY Bishop Whyte visited Mosgiel yesterday afternoon and administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 29 candidates in St. Mary's Church. Prior to conferring the sacrament, the Bishop addressed first the candidates, and then the congregation in general. He complimented the candidates on the manner in which they had satisfied their examiner, the Rev. Dr H. J. O'Neill This was in a large measure due to the train ing given by the Sisterc of Mercy. The Bishop was assisted bv Dr O'Neill and Father Courtenay. Appropriate hymns were sung by the church choir, and the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament followed the Confirmation service.
