RADIO JOURNAL

APPOINTMENT OF EDITOR MR OLIVER DUFF SELECTED PUBLICATION DATE It is officially announced from Wellington that Mr Oliver Duff, formerly editor of the Press, Christchurch, has been appointed editor of the weekly radio journal which is to be published by the Government. The appointment did not lie with the Acting Minister of Broadcasting (Mr F. Jones), but he stated in an interview with a Daily Times re-

porter on Saturday that it was not likely that the journal would be published for two or three months yet, as a good deal of preparatory work had still to be done. It was hoped that the journal, which would be sold cheaply, would meet a >very real need among radio listeners in New Zealand, and that it would assist them in the intelligent enjoyment of the programmes that were presented. Although a charge would be made for the journal, a free quarterly supplement would be issued to all licence holders. The weekly programmes would be published only in the new journal.
