•REDUCED CHARGES HOLIDAY PERIOD CONCESSION The Postmaster-general (Mr F. Jones) announces that reduced charges for radio telephone .conversations to Australia and the United Kingdom will apply during the Christmas and New Year period, from December 23 until January 4 inclusive. The holiday concession charges to Australia are £1 2s 6d for the minimum period of three minutes, compared with the normal charge of £ 1 10s, and to the United Kingdom £2 5s for three minutes, compared with £4 10s. Calls at the reduced rate cannot, however, be accepted to the United Kingdom on Christmas Day (English time).
